Insecticide + IGR
CYHALODIAMIDE 18% + LUFENURON 6% SC
An advanced combination insecticide pairing a muscle disruptor with a chitin synthesis inhibitor. Provides immediate control of larvae plus long-term population suppression through ovicidal effects, managing multiple pest generations effectively.
Target Pest
Lepidoptera & Sucking Pests
Mode of Action
Muscle + Chitin Inhibitor
Crops
Cotton, Veg, Fruit, Rice
Active: Cyhalodiamide + Lufenuron
Formulation: SC (Suspension Concentrate)
Action: Dual (Adult/Larva/Egg)
Product Information
Mode of Action
Cyhalodiamide disrupts muscle function by activating ryanodine receptors, leading to paralysis. Lufenuron is an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) that inhibits chitin synthesis, preventing larvae from molting and inhibiting egg development. This dual action controls existing larvae and prevents future population buildup.
Target Pests
- Bollworms (Helicoverpa armigera)
- Whiteflies (Bemisia tabaci)
- Leafminers (Liriomyza spp.)
- Stem borers (Scirpophaga incertulas)
- Fruit borers (various species)
Key Benefits
Excellent resistance management tool. Effective on all life stages: kills larvae, sterilizes adults, and prevents egg hatching.
Recommended Application
| Crop | Target Pest | Dosage |
|---|---|---|
| Cotton | Bollworms, Whiteflies | Refer to Leaflet |
| Vegetables | Leafminers, Fruit Borers | Refer to Leaflet |
| Rice | Stem Borers | Refer to Leaflet |
| Fruits | Fruit Borers | Refer to Leaflet |
Dosage Note: Exact dosage rates (ml/ha) were not provided. Please consult the product leaflet or local agricultural guidelines for specific rates and harvest intervals.
Application Instructions
1. Timing
Apply at the egg-laying stage or early larval stage. Lufenuron’s ovicidal properties are maximized when applied before eggs hatch, while Cyhalodiamide handles any emerged larvae.
2. Coverage
Ensure uniform coverage of the crop canopy. The IGR component needs to be ingested or contacted by the pest during molting phases to be effective.
Safety Precautions
Handling: Wear protective clothing. Lufenuron is generally safe for beneficial insects but standard precautions should be taken during application.
Resistance Management: This product contains a Group 28 (Diamide) and Group 15 (Benzoylurea) insecticide. Excellent for rotation programs to delay resistance.
