Product Information

Mode of Action

Triflumezopyrim acts as a mesoionic modulator of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChR). [Image of insect nervous system synapse] It binds to a novel site distinct from neonicotinoids, disrupting nerve signal transmission. This leads to paralysis and death, and it remains effective against neonicotinoid-resistant pest populations.

Target Pests
  • Brown planthopper (Nilaparvata lugens)
  • Whitebacked planthopper (Sogatella furcifera)
  • Small brown planthopper (Laodelphax striatellus)
  • Green leafhopper (Nephotettix spp.)
  • Aphids & Whiteflies
Key Benefits

Outstanding systemic activity ensures protection of new growth. Provides rapid cessation of feeding, minimizing viral transmission.

Recommended Dosage

Crop(s) Target Pest Dosage / Ha (gm) Water (L/Ha) Waiting Period (Days)
Rice Brown Plant Hopper, White Backed Plant Hopper 125 500 21
Dosage Note: For Rice, a dosage of 125g per hectare dissolved in 500 liters of water is recommended.

Application Instructions

1. Timing
Apply at the early stages of hopper infestation (Economic Threshold Level). The product’s long-lasting protection helps prevent population resurgence.
2. Method of Use
Ensure thorough spray coverage. For rice hoppers, direct the spray towards the base of the plant clumps where the pests reside.

Safety Precautions

Resistance Management: As a Group 4E insecticide, it is an ideal rotation partner to break resistance cycles established against neonicotinoids (Group 4A).

Handling: Wear standard protective clothing. Avoid spraying during high wind to prevent drift.
