Product Information

Mode of Action

Triclopyr (HRAC Group 4) is a synthetic auxin herbicide that mimics natural plant growth hormones (auxins). It causes uncontrolled cell division and abnormal stem growth, leading to the systemic breakdown and death of susceptible broadleaf weeds, sedges, and woody plant species.

Target Weeds
  • Cyperus iria
  • Monochoria vaginalis
  • Ludwigia spp.
  • Sphenoclea zeylanica
  • Mikania micrantha
  • Chromolaena odorata
  • Parthenium hysterophorus
  • Broadleaf weeds, woody weeds, and sedges

Recommended Application Guidance

Crop / Area Target Weeds Dosage & Method of Application
Rice, Pastures, Forestry, Orchards & Non-crop Areas Broadleaf weeds, woody weeds & sedges Apply as a post-emergence spray on actively growing weeds at the recommended label dosage. Ensure uniform spray coverage for effective control and avoid drift onto susceptible crops.
For specific g/ha dosage rates and local spray volume recommendations across agricultural crops and forestry sites, please refer to the registered product label or consult local agricultural extension specialists.

Application Instructions

1. Post-Emergence Active Growth Application
Apply as a foliar post-emergence spray when target broadleaf weeds, sedges, and woody species are actively growing to facilitate rapid systemic translocation throughout plant tissues.
2. Spray Uniformity & Drift Management
Ensure complete, uniform foliar spray coverage across target weed foliage. Use low-pressure nozzles and drift reduction measures to avoid accidental drift onto desirable broadleaf crops and non-target vegetation.

Safety & Environmental Care

Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (gloves, goggles, face mask, protective suit) during handling, mixing, and application. Avoid spray drift onto sensitive broadleaf crops, desirable trees, and nearby water bodies. Store in original sealed container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated location away from food, drink, and animal feed.
