Active: Tetraniliprole Formulation: SC (Suspension Concentrate) Action: Systemic & Ingestion

Product Information

Mode of Action

Tetraniliprole is a Ryanodine Receptor (RyR) modulator (IRAC Group 28). When ingested, it binds to ryanodine-sensitive calcium channels in insect muscle cells, causing uncontrolled calcium release. This leads to immediate muscle contraction, paralysis, cessation of feeding, and rapid death.

Target Pests
  • Rice stem borer (Scirpophaga incertulas)
  • Rice leaf folder (Cnaphalocrocis medinalis)
  • Girdle beetle (Oberea brevis)
  • Loopers & Semiloopers
  • Fruit borers & Leaf miners
Key Benefits

Provides long-lasting control of lepidopteran pests and protects the crop during critical vegetative and reproductive stages.

Recommended Dosage

Crop(s) Target Pest Dosage (ml/Ha) Water (L/Ha) Waiting Period (Days)
Rice Yellow stem borer, Leaf folder 250 – 300 500 43
Soybean Girdle beetle, Spodoptera spp., Semilooper 250 – 300 500 35
Tomato Fruit borer (H. armigera), Leaf miner 250 – 300 500 05
Important: Notice the significant difference in waiting periods: 43 days for Rice versus only 5 days for Tomato.

Application Instructions

1. Application Timing
Apply at the first sign of pest appearance. For stem borers in rice, application is most effective at the egg hatching or early larval stage before larvae bore into the stem.
2. Method of Use
Mix the recommended dose in 500 Liters of water per hectare. Ensure thorough coverage of the foliage, as ingestion is the primary mode of uptake for the pest.

Safety Precautions

Resistance Management: As a Group 28 insecticide, avoid consecutive sprays of Tetraniliprole. Rotate with insecticides having a different mode of action to prevent resistance development.

Harvest Interval: Strictly adhere to the waiting period, especially for Rice (43 days) to ensure grain residue levels are within safety limits.
