Selective Herbicide
TEFURYLTRIONE 20% + TRIAFAMONE 10% SC
Provides post-emergence control of a wide range of annual grasses, sedges, and some broad-leaved weeds in rice crops. Offers both foliar and soil-active control with systemic translocation.
Target Weeds
Grasses, Sedges & BLW
Mode of Action
HPPD + ALS Inhibitor
Crops
Rice, Maize
Active: Tefuryltrione + Triafamone
Formulation: SC (Suspension Concentrate)
Action: Post-Emergence
Product Information
Mode of Action
Tefuryltrione: An HPPD inhibitor that blocks carotenoid biosynthesis, causing bleaching and death of weeds.
Triafamone: An ALS inhibitor that disrupts branched-chain amino acid synthesis, preventing growth.
The combination provides both foliar and soil-active control, translocating within the weed to suppress emergence and growth.
Target Weeds
- Echinochloa spp. (Barnyard grass, E. colona)
- Cyperus rotundus, C. difformis (Sedges)
- Fimbristylis spp.
- Monochoria vaginalis
- Digera arvensis, Commelina benghalensis
Recommended Dosage
| Crop | Weed Species | Dosage (ml/ha) | Water (L) | PHI (Days) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rice (Transplanted/DSR) | Echinochloa spp., Cyperus difformis, Fimbristylis spp., Monochoria vaginalis | 300 | 500 | 60 |
| Maize | Amaranthus spp., Digitaria spp., Setaria spp., Panicum spp. | 300 | 500 | 55 |
Dosage refers to ml of formulation per hectare. PHI = Pre-Harvest Interval (Waiting period in days).
Application Instructions
1. Mixing
This product is a Suspension Concentrate (SC). Shake the bottle well. Pre-mix the required quantity (300 ml) in a small bucket of water to form a uniform suspension before adding to the main tank with agitation.
2. Timing of Application
Apply as a post-emergence herbicide when weeds are in the early growth stages. For rice, ensure good coverage; managing water levels (drain before spray, re-flood later) may enhance efficacy depending on local practices.
Safety Precautions
Warning: Use personal protective equipment (gloves, mask, goggles). Avoid spray drift to non-target crops. Wash hands and equipment thoroughly after application. Toxic to aquatic organisms.
