Crops

Active: Spirotetramat Formulation: OD (Oil Dispersion) Action: Systemic (Two-way)

Product Information

Mode of Action

Spirotetramat acts by inhibiting acetyl-CoA carboxylase, which disrupts lipid biosynthesis. It primarily affects the development of immature insect stages (nymphs and larvae) and reduces the fecundity of adults.

Target Pests
  • Thrips (Scirtothrips dorsalis)
  • Aphids
  • Whiteflies
  • Mites
  • Psylla
  • Diamond back moth (Plutella xylostella)
Key Benefits

The Oil Dispersion (OD) formulation enhances penetration and retention on the leaf surface. Its two-way systemic activity (xylem and phloem) protects new shoot growth.

Crop(s) Target Pest Dosage / Ha Water (L/Ha) Waiting Period (Days)
Chilli Thrips & Aphids 400 ml 500 05

Application Instructions

1. Application Timing
Apply at the early stages of infestation. Spirotetramat is highly effective against immature stages, so early application prevents population buildup.
2. Application Method
Shake the bottle well before use (OD formulation). Ensure thorough coverage of the foliage. The product’s systemic nature helps redistribute the active ingredient to growing shoots.

Safety Precautions

Harvest Intervals: Strictly observe the Pre-Harvest Intervals (PHI), particularly for export crops like Grapes (60 days).

Environmental Safety: Do not spray near water bodies. Although generally safe for beneficials once dried, avoid direct spraying on bees.
