Natural Spinosyn Insecticide

SPINETORAM 12% + SPINOSAD 3% SC

An advanced combination of two naturally-derived spinosyn insecticides. This formulation combines the rapid action of Spinosad with the improved residual activity and potency of Spinetoram, providing superior broad-spectrum control of caterpillars and thrips in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs.

Target Pests
Caterpillars & Thrips
Mode of Action
Nerve Excitation (Bio)
Application
Veg, Fruit, Cotton
Active: Spinetoram + Spinosad Formulation: SC (Suspension Concentrate) Action: Contact & Ingestion

Product Information

Mode of Action

Both active ingredients act through a unique mechanism involving the disruption of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors at novel binding sites, distinct from other insecticides (Group 5). They cause hyperexcitation of the insect nervous system, leading to involuntary muscle contractions, paralysis, and death.

Spinetoram enhances the speed of kill and residual length, while Spinosad provides proven biological performance. The combination works via both contact and ingestion with translaminar movement into the leaf tissue.

Target Pests
  • Lepidopteran Larvae: Bollworms, Fruit borers, Leaf folders, Armyworms, Loopers, Diamondback Moth (DBM), Codling Moth.
  • Sucking/Rasping Pests: Thrips, Western Flower Thrips, Leaf Miners.
  • Others: Fruit flies, Colorado Potato Beetle.
Key Benefits

Derived from natural soil bacteria. Ideal for resistance management and IPM. Low toxicity to beneficial insects. Effective at low use rates.

Application Areas

Approved Crops
  • Vegetables: Tomato, Cabbage, Lettuce, Cucurbits, Leafy Greens.
  • Fruits: Apple, Citrus, Grapes, Berries.
  • Field Crops: Cotton, Maize, Pulses, Rice.
  • Specialty: Ornamentals and Protected Crops (Greenhouses).
Application Strategy

Apply at the egg-hatch stage or early larval instar stage for Lepidoptera. For Thrips, apply at the first sign of infestation.

Directions for Use

1. Mixing
Shake the bottle well before use. Fill the spray tank with half the required amount of water. Add the measured quantity of SC and mix well. Top up with water while maintaining agitation.
2. Application Technique
Ensure uniform coverage of foliage. The product has translaminar activity (moves through the leaf), but good coverage ensures pests ingest or contact the lethal dose quickly.
3. Resistance Management
Spinosyns (Group 5) are valuable tools. Do not make more than 2 consecutive applications. Rotate with insecticides of different modes of action to preserve efficacy.

Safety & Storage

Bio-Safety: While derived from natural sources, standard pesticide safety must be observed. Toxic to bees when wet; apply when bees are not foraging (late evening).

Handling: Wear protective clothing (gloves, mask). Wash hands after handling.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
