PYRIPROXYFEN + BIFENTHRIN Bottle
Insecticide + IGR

PYRIPROXYFEN 10% + BIFENTHRIN 10% EC

A strategic combination of a juvenile hormone mimic and a pyrethroid insecticide. It controls whitefly populations and other sucking pests through dual action: disrupting development of immature stages and providing rapid knockdown of adults.

Target Pest
Whitefly, Mites, Thrips
Mode of Action
IGR + Nerve Action
Crops
Cotton, Veg, Pulses
Active: Pyriproxyfen + Bifenthrin Formulation: EC (Emulsifiable Concentrate) Action: Dual (Lifecycle + Knockdown)

Product Information

Mode of Action

Pyriproxyfen disrupts insect development by mimicking juvenile hormone, preventing maturation, egg hatching, and reproduction. Bifenthrin provides rapid knockdown through nerve disruption (sodium channel modulation). Together, they control existing populations while preventing new generations.

Target Pests
  • Whitefly (Bemisia tabaci)
  • Yellow mites (Polyphagotarsonemus latus)
  • Thrips (Scirtothrips dorsalis)
  • Shoot & Fruit Borer (Leucinodes orbonalis)
Key Benefits

Effective resistance management tool against Whitefly. Controls all life stages (Eggs, Nymphs, and Adults).

Recommended Dosage

Crop(s) Common Name of Pest Dosage (ml/Ha) Water (L/Ha) Waiting Period (Days)
Cotton Whitefly 600 500 19
Chilli Yellow mites, Thrips 1250 500 15
Brinjal Whitefly, Shoot & Fruit Borer 1250 500 15
Soybean Whitefly 1000 500 35
Green gram Whitefly 1000 500 25
Dosage varies significantly by crop (600ml to 1250ml). Ensure the correct rate is applied for the specific crop and pest.

Application Instructions

1. Timing for Whitefly Control
Apply at the early stages of infestation. The IGR component (Pyriproxyfen) is most effective when applied before the population explodes, as it sterilizes adults and prevents nymph maturation.
2. Coverage
For pests like mites and thrips which reside on the underside of leaves, ensure thorough coverage using appropriate nozzle types (e.g., hollow cone).

Safety Precautions

Waiting Period: Adhere strictly to the waiting periods (PHI), especially for vegetables like Chilli (15 days) and pulses like Soybean (35 days).

Handling: Wear protective gear to prevent skin contact. Wash hands and exposed skin thoroughly after handling.
