Product Information
Mode of Action
Prothioconazole (FRAC Group 3) inhibits ergosterol biosynthesis in fungal membranes. Fludioxonil (FRAC Group 12) disrupts fungal osmotic signal transduction, preventing spore germination and mycelial growth. Metalaxyl-M (FRAC Group 4) inhibits RNA polymerase I, stopping nucleic acid synthesis in oomycete pathogens like Pythium and downy mildew.
Target Diseases
- Seed rot
- Damping-off
- Smut & Bunt
- Fusarium seedling blight
- Pythium spp.
- Downy mildew
Recommended Application Guidance
| Crop | Target Disease | Application Guidance |
|---|---|---|
| Cereals | Smut, bunt, Fusarium | Coat seed evenly using calibrated treating equipment — partial coverage leaves individual seeds unprotected. |
| Maize | Seedling blight | Restricted to seed treatment use only; do not apply as a foliar or in-furrow spray. |
| Soybean | Damping-off | Confirm full seed surface contact during treatment, since this product has no residual soil activity beyond the seed coat. |
For specific ml/100kg seed dosage rates and local slurry preparation guidelines across registered crops, please refer to the registered product label or consult local agronomic specialists.
Application Instructions
1. Calibrated Seed Coating Equipment
Apply using professional seed treating machinery calibrated to ensure complete, uniform coating across the entire seed lot. Incomplete or partial seed coverage leaves untreated areas vulnerable to soil-borne pathogens.
2. Application Boundaries & Seed Contact
Ensure total seed surface contact during treatment, as the protective barrier is confined to the seed coat with no soil residual zone beyond it. Strictly restricted to seed dressing; do not use as a foliar or in-furrow treatment.
Safety & Environmental Care
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (chemical-resistant gloves, protective eyewear, dust/mist mask, coveralls) during slurry mixing and seed handling. Treated seed must not be used for food, feed, or oil processing. Keep treated seed out of reach of birds and wildlife. Store in original sealed containers in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area.
