Fungicide + Bactericide

PROPAMOCARB HCl 50% + KASUGAMYCIN 2.5% SL

An innovative combination pairing a carbamate fungicide with an aminoglycoside antibiotic. It provides comprehensive systemic control of both oomycete diseases and bacterial infections, offering dual protection with multiple modes of action.

Target Disease
Blight, Mildew, Bacteria
Mode of Action
Membrane + Protein Block
Crops
Rice, Veg, Potato
Active: Propamocarb + Kasugamycin Formulation: SL (Soluble Concentrate) Action: Systemic & Antibiotic

Product Information

Mode of Action

Propamocarb HCl interferes with phospholipid biosynthesis and cell membrane formation in oomycetes, ensuring rapid systemic uptake. [Image of phospholipid biosynthesis inhibition in oomycetes] Kasugamycin acts as an aminoglycoside antibiotic that inhibits protein synthesis by binding to the ribosomes of both bacteria and fungi. [Image of bacterial protein synthesis inhibition mechanism] This dual mechanism effectively targets two different pathogen groups simultaneously.

Target Diseases
  • Late blight (Phytophthora infestans)
  • Downy mildew & Pythium diseases
  • Bacterial Leaf Blight (Xanthomonas oryzae)
  • Rice Blast (Pyricularia oryzae)
  • Bacterial Spot and Canker
Key Benefits

One of the few products offering simultaneous control of serious fungal and bacterial issues (e.g., Late Blight + Bacterial Spot in Tomato).

Recommended Dosage

Crop Disease Targets Dosage (L/Ha) Water (L/Ha)
Rice Bacterial Leaf Blight, Blast 1.5 – 2.0 500
Potato Late Blight 1.5 – 2.0 500
Tomato Late Blight, Bacterial Spot 1.5 – 2.0 500
Vegetables / Cucurbits Downy Mildew, Pythium 1.5 – 2.0 500
Dosage Note: The recommended rate is 1.5 to 2 Liters per hectare dissolved in 500 Liters of water.

Application Instructions

1. Timing
Apply preventively or at the early stages of disease/infection. For bacterial diseases, early application is crucial as curative control is difficult once the infection spreads.
2. Frequency
Repeat applications every 7-10 days depending on disease pressure and weather conditions favoring bacterial growth (warm and humid).

Safety Precautions

Antibiotic Use: This product contains Kasugamycin, an antibiotic. Use responsibly and strictly according to the label to prevent the development of antibiotic-resistant bacterial strains.

Handling: Wear standard protective clothing.
