PROPAMOCARB 53% + FOSETYL-AL 31% SL

PROPAMOCARB + FOSETYL-AL SL Bottle
Oomycete Fungicide

PROPAMOCARB 53% + FOSETYL-AL 31% SL

A systemic oomycete fungicide combination offering unique bidirectional movement (up and down the plant) for complete protection. It delivers both direct fungicidal activity and induced plant resistance (SAR), ensuring comprehensive preventive and curative control.

Target Disease
Late Blight, Downy Mildew
Mode of Action
Bidirectional + SAR Inducer
Crops
Potato, Grapes, Veg
Active: Propamocarb + Fosetyl-Al Formulation: SL (Soluble Concentrate) Action: Systemic (Acropetal & Basipetal)

Product Information

Mode of Action

Propamocarb interferes with phospholipid biosynthesis and cell membrane formation in oomycetes, moving acropetally (upwards) in the plant. [Image of phospholipid biosynthesis inhibition in oomycetes] Fosetyl-Al is unique as it moves both upward and downward (basipetal) in the plant. [Image of bidirectional systemic movement in plants] It provides direct fungicidal action and stimulates natural defense mechanisms (Systemic Acquired Resistance – SAR).

Target Diseases
  • Late blight (Phytophthora infestans)
  • Downy mildew (Plasmopara viticola, Pseudoperonospora cubensis)
  • Pythium damping-off and root rot
  • Phytophthora root diseases
Key Benefits

Protecting roots and new growth simultaneously. Ideal for controlling root rots and collar rots via foliar application due to downward movement.

Recommended Dosage

Crop Disease Dosage (L/Ha) Water (L/Ha)
Potato Late Blight 2.0 – 2.5 500 – 750
Tomato Late Blight, Root Rot 2.0 – 2.5 500 – 750
Grapes Downy Mildew 2.0 – 2.5 750 – 1000
Cucurbits / Veg Downy Mildew, Pythium 2.0 – 2.5 500 – 750
Dosage Note: The recommended rate is 2 to 2.5 Liters per hectare. Ensure sufficient water volume to allow for good absorption.

Application Instructions

1. Timing
Apply preventively before disease onset or at the very early stages of infection. The SAR effect (defense stimulation) works best when applied prior to severe infection pressure.
2. Root Protection
Because Fosetyl-Al travels down to the roots, foliar sprays can help manage soil-borne Phytophthora root rots, which is a unique benefit of this formulation.

Safety Precautions

Compatibility: Do not mix with copper fungicides or fertilizers containing nitrogen/sulfur without checking compatibility, as Fosetyl-Al can be acidic and reactive.

Harvest Interval: Adhere to local PHI regulations (typically 3-7 days for vegetables, longer for grapes).
