Strobilurin Fungicide

PICOXYSTROBIN 22.52% SC

A high-concentration strobilurin fungicide providing broad-spectrum disease control. It features excellent systemic and translaminar movement for comprehensive plant protection and offers additional plant health benefits (greening effect).

Target Disease
Blast, Mildew, Rust
Mode of Action
Respiration Inhibitor (QoI)
Crops
Rice, Grape, Soybean
Active: Picoxystrobin Formulation: SC (Suspension Concentrate) Action: Systemic & Translaminar

Product Information

Mode of Action

Picoxystrobin inhibits mitochondrial respiration by blocking electron transfer at the Qo site of Complex III (cytochrome bc1 complex) in fungal cells. [Image of mitochondrial respiration inhibition mode of action] This halts ATP synthesis, leading to energy depletion and the rapid cessation of fungal growth and spore germination. It also enhances photosynthesis in the crop.

Target Diseases
  • Rice blast (Pyricularia oryzae)
  • Downy mildew (Plasmopara viticola)
  • Powdery mildew (Erysiphe necator)
  • Soybean Rust (Phakopsora pachyrhizi)
  • Leaf spot (Cercospora, Alternaria)
  • Cumin blight (Alternaria burnsii)
Key Benefits

Offers “AgCelence” benefits: treated plants often show improved vigor, greener leaves, and higher yield potential.

Recommended Dosage

Crop Disease Dosage (ml/Ha) Water (L/Ha) PHI (Days)
Rice (Paddy) Rice Blast 600 500 12
Grape Downy Mildew, Powdery Mildew 400 750 – 1000 07
Soybean Rust, Leaf Spot (Cercospora/Alternaria) 400 500 25
Cumin Cumin Blight (Alternaria) 400 500 20
Dosage Note: For Rice, use a higher rate of 600 ml/ha. For other crops, the standard recommendation is 400 ml/ha.

Application Instructions

1. Timing
Apply preventively or at the very early stages of disease detection. Its systemic nature allows it to move within the plant to protect new growth.
2. Resistance Management
Picoxystrobin is a Group 11 (QoI) fungicide. These are prone to resistance. Always rotate with fungicides from different groups (e.g., Triazoles or Multi-site contact fungicides) and limit the number of sequential sprays.

Safety Precautions

Harvest Interval: Strict adherence to PHI is required: 12 days for Rice, 7 days for Grapes, 25 days for Soybean, and 20 days for Cumin.

Handling: Wear standard protective clothing. Avoid application during the hottest part of the day.
