Product Information

Mode of Action

Picarbutrazox features a unique mechanism that disrupts multiple cellular processes in fungal pathogens. It specifically interferes with mitochondrial function and cellular respiration , leading to immediate energy depletion and cessation of growth. It exhibits strong systemic and translaminar movement , allowing it to reach untreated parts of the plant and control hidden infections.

Target Diseases
  • Rice Blast (Pyricularia oryzae) – Leaf Blast & Neck Blast
  • Sheath Blight (Rhizoctonia solani)
  • Brown Spot
  • Leaf Spots
Key Benefits

Provides long-lasting residual control, reducing the total number of sprays required per season. Effective against strains resistant to conventional fungicides.

Recommended Dosage

Crop Disease Targets Dosage (ml/Ha) Water (L/Ha)
Rice (Paddy) Leaf Blast, Neck Blast, Sheath Blight 300 – 400 500
Vegetables Leaf Spots, Blights 300 – 400 500
Dosage Note: The recommended rate is 300 to 400 ml per hectare dissolved in 500 Liters of water.

Application Instructions

1. Timing
Apply at the panicle initiation stage or immediately at the first sign of disease symptoms. Early preventive application ensures the best protection against Neck Blast.
2. Frequency
Under conditions of severe blast pressure or conducive weather (high humidity), apply a second spray 10-12 days after the first application.

Safety Precautions

Resistance Management: Being a novel chemistry, it is an excellent rotation partner. Do not rely exclusively on this product; alternate with fungicides having different modes of action (e.g., Triazoles or Isoprothiolane).

Handling: Wear standard protective gear (gloves, mask) during mixing and spraying.
