Selective Herbicide
PENOXSULAM 0.97% + BUTACHLOR 38.8% SE
Provides post-emergence control of grasses, sedges, and broad-leaved weeds in transplanted and direct-seeded rice. Combines ALS inhibition and cell division disruption for extended control.
Target Weeds
Grasses, Sedges, Broad-leaf
Mode of Action
ALS + Cell Div. Inhibitor
Crops
Rice (Transplanted & DSR)
Active: Penoxsulam + Butachlor
Formulation: SE (Suspo-Emulsion)
Action: Post-Emergence
Product Information
Mode of Action
Penoxsulam: Inhibits the ALS enzyme, disrupting amino acid synthesis.
Butachlor: Inhibits cell division in germinating weed shoots.
This dual mechanism ensures effective and extended control of multiple weed species in rice fields.
Target Weeds
- Echinochloa spp. (Barnyard grass)
- Cyperus spp. (Sedges)
- Ammania spp.
- Fimbristylis spp.
- Leptochloa chinensis
Recommended Dosage
| Crop | Target Weeds | Dosage (ml/ha) | Water (L) | PHI (Days) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Transplanted Rice | Echinochloa colonum, Echinochloa crusgalli, Cyperus iria, Cyperus difformis, Marsilia quadrifoliata, Alternanthera spp. | 2000 | 750 | 60 |
Dosage refers to ml of formulation per hectare. Maintain high water volume (750 L/ha) for optimal coverage.
Application Instructions
1. Mixing
This product is a Suspo-Emulsion (SE). Shake the bottle vigorously before use. Pre-mix the required quantity in a bucket of water to form a uniform slurry, then pour into the main tank while agitating.
2. Timing of Application
Apply as a post-emergence spray. For transplanted rice, drain the field before application and re-flood 2-3 days later to suppress weed re-growth.
Safety Precautions
Warning: Wear protective gear including gloves, mask, and boots. Do not drain treated water into fish ponds as herbicides may be toxic to aquatic life. Wash hands thoroughly after handling.
