Mode of Action
The fungus Paecilomyces lilacinus parasitizes the eggs of several plant-parasitic nematodes. Upon contact, the fungal hyphae penetrate the egg shells and the bodies of sedentary females, destroying the developing embryo and preventing the nematode lifecycle from completing.
