Strobilurin Fungicide

METOMINOSTROBIN 20% SC

A strobilurin fungicide providing broad-spectrum disease control with excellent systemic and translaminar movement. It offers both protective and curative properties, along with additional plant health benefits including enhanced photosynthesis and stress tolerance.

Target Disease
Blast, Blight, Mildew
Mode of Action
Respiration Inhibitor (QoI)
Crops
Rice, Veg, Fruit
Active: Metominostrobin Formulation: SC (Suspension Concentrate) Action: Systemic & Curative

Product Information

Mode of Action

Metominostrobin inhibits mitochondrial respiration by blocking electron transfer at the Qo site of Complex III (cytochrome bc1 complex). This prevents ATP synthesis, leading to rapid energy depletion and cessation of fungal growth. It also enhances nitrogen metabolism and stress tolerance in the plant.

Target Diseases
  • Rice blast (Pyricularia oryzae)
  • Sheath blight (Rhizoctonia solani)
  • Powdery mildew
  • Downy mildew
  • Leaf spots & Anthracnose
Key Benefits

Physiological benefits include enhanced greening and improved nitrogen use efficiency, contributing to higher yields.

Recommended Dosage

Crop Disease Targets Dosage (ml/Ha) Water (L/Ha)
Rice Rice Blast, Sheath Blight 300 – 400 500
Vegetables Powdery Mildew, Leaf Spots, Downy Mildew 300 – 400 500
Fruits Mildews, Anthracnose 300 – 400 500
Cereals Rust, Leaf Spots 300 – 400 500
Dosage Note: The recommended rate is 300 to 400 ml per hectare diluted in 500 Liters of water.

Application Instructions

1. Timing
Apply preventively or at the very early stages of disease detection. Its systemic nature helps protect new growth, but early intervention is key for maximum efficacy.
2. Frequency
Repeat applications every 10-14 days depending on disease pressure. Adjust the interval based on weather conditions (humidity/rain).

Safety Precautions

Resistance Management: Metominostrobin is a Group 11 (QoI) fungicide. Resistance risk is high if used repeatedly. Always rotate with fungicides from different groups (e.g., Triazoles) to preserve its effectiveness.

Handling: Wear standard protective clothing.
