Product Information
Mode of Action
Metamifop (HRAC Group 1) inhibits the acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase) enzyme, disrupting fatty acid synthesis and cell membrane integrity in grassy weeds. Propanil (HRAC Group 5) inhibits photosynthesis by blocking electron transport in Photosystem II, causing rapid chlorosis and tissue breakdown in susceptible weeds. Their combined action delivers broad-spectrum, rapid, and effective weed management.
Target Weeds
- Echinochloa crus-galli (Barnyardgrass)
- Echinochloa colona (Jungle Rice)
- Leptochloa chinensis
- Monochoria vaginalis
- Annual grassy and selected broadleaf weeds
Recommended Application Guidance
| Recommended Crops | Target Weeds | Dosage & Method of Application |
|---|---|---|
| Rice | Annual grassy and broadleaf weeds | Apply as a post-emergence spray when weeds are at the early growth stage, following the recommended label dosage with uniform spray coverage. |
| Rice | Mixed weed flora | Apply under active weed growth conditions for effective and long-lasting weed control. |
For specific L/ha or ml/ha dosage rates and local water volume recommendations in transplanted and direct-seeded rice, please refer to the registered product label or consult local agricultural extension specialists.
Application Instructions
1. Early Stage Foliar Spraying
Apply as a post-emergence foliar spray when annual grassy and broadleaf weeds are actively growing in their early growth stage to achieve rapid knockdown and optimal control.
2. Active Growth Conditions & Uniform Coverage
Apply when field soil moisture and environmental conditions favor active weed growth. Ensure complete and uniform spray coverage across target foliage using calibrated spray equipment and proper water volume.
Safety & Environmental Care
Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (gloves, goggles, face mask, protective suit) during handling, mixing, and application. Avoid spray drift onto non-target crops and nearby aquatic habitats. Store in original sealed container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated location away from food, drink, and animal feed.
