Oomycete Specialist Fungicide

MANDIPROPAMID 23.4% SC

A highly effective systemic fungicide belonging to the carboxylic acid amide (CAA) group, specifically engineered for the control of oomycete diseases like Downy Mildew and Late Blight. Its suspension concentrate formulation offers powerful preventive activity with excellent translaminar and acropetal movement to protect new growth.

Target Diseases
Downy Mildew, Late Blight
Mode of Action
Cell Wall Inhibitor (CAA)
Crops
Grapes, Potato, Veg
Active: Mandipropamid 23.4% Formulation: SC (Suspension Concentrate) Action: Systemic & Translaminar

Product Information

Mode of Action

Mandipropamid inhibits cellulose synthase in oomycete fungi. This disruption prevents the biosynthesis of the fungal cell wall, effectively stopping mycelial growth and preventing sporulation. It binds tightly to the waxy layer of the leaf surface (rainfastness) and moves translaminarly (through the leaf) and acropetally (upwards) to protect both treated tissues and new growth.

Target Diseases
  • Downy Mildew (Plasmopara viticola, Pseudoperonospora cubensis)
  • Late Blight (Phytophthora infestans)
Key Benefits

Highly specific to oomycetes. Excellent rainfastness soon after application. Provides long-lasting preventive protection.

Dosage & Crop Recommendations

Crop Target Disease Dosage
Grapes Downy mildew 0.8 ml / Ltr
Potato Late blight 0.8 ml / Ltr (or 0.08%)
Tomato Late blight 400 ml / Ha (or 0.8 ml / L)
Cucumber Downy Mildew 400 ml / Ha (or 0.8 ml / L)
Watermelon Downy Mildew 400 ml / Ha (or 0.8 ml / L)
Bitter Gourd Downy Mildew 400 ml / Ha (or 0.8 ml / L)

Directions for Use

1. Application Timing
Apply preventively before disease appearance or at the very early stages of infection. For Grapes, applications during active vegetative growth and flowering are crucial.
2. Method of Application
Mix the required quantity in water and spray uniformly over the foliage. Ensure good coverage of both upper and lower leaf surfaces, although translaminar movement helps reach the undersides.
3. Resistance Management
Mandipropamid is a CAA fungicide. To prevent resistance, always rotate with fungicides possessing a different mode of action (e.g., non-CAA groups). Limit the number of consecutive sprays.

Safety & Storage

Precautions: Wear protective gear (gloves, mask, goggles) during mixing and application. Do not eat, drink, or smoke while handling the product.

Environmental Safety: Do not contaminate water bodies. Safe for beneficial insects when used as directed.

Storage: Store in the original sealed container in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place, away from food and feed.
