Product Information

Mode of Action

Malathion is an organophosphate insecticide. It inhibits the acetylcholinesterase enzyme in the insect nervous system. This inhibition causes an accumulation of acetylcholine at nerve synapses, leading to continuous nerve stimulation, tremors, paralysis, and eventual death. The dust formulation ensures excellent penetration into cracks, crevices, and grain masses, providing both contact exposure and a fumigant effect.

Directions for Use

1. Surface Treatment (Empty Bins/Warehouses)
Clean the area thoroughly before application. Apply the dust uniformly to floors, walls, and ceilings, paying special attention to cracks, crevices, and corners where insects harbor.
2. Crack & Crevice Treatment
Using a hand duster or puff duster, inject dust into cracks around baseboards, door frames, and utility entry points to control crawling insects like ants and cockroaches.
3. Grain Treatment (If applicable by label)
Refer strictly to the product label for specific dosage rates for admixture with stored grains to prevent infestation. Ensure uniform mixing.

Safety & Storage

Organophosphate Warning: This product is an cholinesterase inhibitor.

Precautions: Wear a suitable dust mask/respirator, gloves, and goggles during application. Avoid inhalation of dust and skin contact. Wash thoroughly after handling. Toxic to fish and bees.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from food, animal feed, and children. Keep the container tightly closed.
