Insecticide + IGR

LUFENURON 5% + METAFLUMIZONE 20% SC

A strategic pairing of a chitin synthesis inhibitor and a sodium channel blocker. This combination provides immediate control of active infestations while delivering prolonged protection by preventing population resurgence through ovicidal activity.

Target Pest
Lepidoptera & Sucking
Mode of Action
Chitin + Sodium Channel
Crops
Cotton, Veg, Fruit, Rice
Active: Lufenuron + Metaflumizone Formulation: SC (Suspension Concentrate) Action: Dual (Molt Inhibition + Paralysis)

Product Information

Mode of Action

Lufenuron (IGR) inhibits chitin synthesis, preventing molting and egg development (ovicidal action). Metaflumizone blocks sodium channels in the insect nervous system, causing immediate paralysis (nerve action). Together, they control existing larvae and suppress future generations.

Target Pests
  • Bollworms (Helicoverpa armigera)
  • Whiteflies (Bemisia tabaci)
  • Diamondback moth (Plutella xylostella)
  • Stem borers (Scirpophaga incertulas)
  • Fruit borers (various species)
Key Benefits

Excellent IPM compatibility. The dual mode of action effectively breaks the pest lifecycle at multiple stages (egg, larva, adult).

Recommended Application

Crop Target Pest Dosage
Cotton Bollworms, Whiteflies Refer to Leaflet
Vegetables (Cabbage, Tomato) Diamondback Moth, Fruit Borer Refer to Leaflet

Application Instructions

1. Timing
Apply at the egg-laying stage or early larval instars. Lufenuron is highly effective against eggs and molting larvae, while Metaflumizone provides knockdown of active feeders.
2. Resistance Management
This product combines Group 15 (Benzoylureas) and Group 22B (Semicarbazones). Rotating with this product helps delay resistance to conventional pyrethroids and organophosphates.

Safety Precautions

IPM: Suitable for Integrated Pest Management programs due to its specific activity and safety profile for many beneficial insects.

Handling: Wear standard protective clothing during mixing and application. Ensure good coverage for maximum efficacy.
