KRESOXIM-METHYL 15% + CHLOROTHALONIL 56% WG

A powerful broad-spectrum fungicide combining strobilurin (QoI) and chloronitrile chemistry in a water-dispersible granule formulation. It offers excellent preventive control with multiple modes of action, ensuring comprehensive disease management and minimizing resistance risk.

Target Disease
Blights, Mildews, Spots
Mode of Action
Respiration Block + Multi-site
Crops
Potato, Chilli, Veg, Fruit
Active: Kresoxim-Methyl + Chlorothalonil Formulation: WG (Water Dispersible Granule) Action: Systemic & Protective

Product Information

Mode of Action

Kresoxim-Methyl inhibits mitochondrial respiration by blocking electron transfer at the Qo site (QoI fungicide). Chlorothalonil acts as a multi-site protectant, interfering with glycolysis and vital cellular metabolic processes. This dual mechanism provides a robust defense against fungal pathogens and delays resistance.

Target Diseases
  • Powdery mildew
  • Downy mildew
  • Early blight and Late blight
  • Anthracnose
  • Leaf spots
Key Benefits

Excellent rainfastness and prolonged residual activity. The WG formulation is easy to handle and mix.

Recommended Dosage

Crop Disease Dosage / Ha (g) Water (L/Ha) PHI (Days)
Chilli Powdery Mildew, Leaf Spot, Anthracnose 1000 500 05
Potato Early Blight, Late Blight 1000 500 23
Dosage Note: The recommended dosage is 1000g (1 kg) per hectare for both Chilli and Potato. Ensure sufficient water volume (500L) for complete coverage.

Application Instructions

1. Timing
Apply preventively before disease onset or immediately at the first sign of symptoms. For Potato Late Blight, preventive spraying is crucial. Repeat applications every 7-10 days under high disease pressure.
2. Integrated Management
Combines Group 11 (Strobilurin) and Group M5 (Multi-site). This is an ideal partner for resistance management programs, especially where resistance to single-site fungicides is a concern.

Safety Precautions

Harvest Interval: Strict adherence to PHI is required: 23 days for Potato and 5 days for Chilli.

Handling: Chlorothalonil is a severe eye irritant. Wear protective eyewear and gloves during mixing and application. Do not apply near water bodies.
