Product Information
Mode of Action
Kasugamycin inhibits protein synthesis in susceptible bacteria by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit, preventing translation and bacterial multiplication. It is classified under FRAC Group 24 (Antibiotics).
Target Diseases
- Bacterial leaf blight
- Bacterial leaf streak
- Rice blast
- Bacterial spot
- Bacterial canker
Recommended Application Guidance
| Crop | Target Disease | Application Guidance |
|---|---|---|
| Rice | Bacterial leaf blight, blast | Move quickly once symptoms appear — delayed treatment loses much of its effectiveness. |
| Tomato | Bacterial spot | Reapply after heavy rain events, which wash off residue and reintroduce bacterial spread. |
| Fruit crops | Bacterial canker | Coordinate timing with pruning schedules to protect fresh wound sites. |
For specific ml/ha dosage rates and local dilution guidelines across registered crops, please refer to the registered product label or consult local agronomic specialists.
Application Instructions
1. Rapid Early Intervention & Rain Re-application
Apply immediately upon first appearance of symptoms to prevent bacterial establishment. Reapply following heavy rainfall events that wash away protective surface residue and spread bacterial inoculum.
2. Pruning Wound Protection
In fruit crops, coordinate applications directly around pruning operations to coat fresh wound sites before bacterial canker pathogens enter host tissues.
Safety & Environmental Care
Always wear proper personal protective equipment (gloves, goggles, mask, overalls) during handling, mixing, and spraying. Avoid chemical runoff or spray drift into surface waters, streams, and ponds. Store in original sealed container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated location away from foodstuffs, drink, and animal feed.
