Product Information
Mode of Action
Kasugamycin (FRAC Group 24 – Antibiotics) inhibits protein synthesis in susceptible bacteria by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit, suppressing bacterial multiplication. Tricyclazole (FRAC Group 16 – Melanin Biosynthesis Inhibitors) inhibits melanin biosynthesis in the infection structures (appressoria) of the rice blast fungus, preventing host tissue penetration and disease establishment.
Target Diseases
- Rice blast (leaf & neck blast)
- Bacterial leaf blight
- Bacterial leaf streak
Recommended Application Guidance
| Crop | Target Disease | Application Guidance |
|---|---|---|
| Rice | Blast | Best positioned as an early-season preventive, given the pathogen’s rapid appressorium formation. |
| Rice | Bacterial leaf blight | Adjust reapplication timing based on rainfall and regional bacterial blight pressure. |
For specific ml/ha dosage rates and local dilution guidelines across rice growing regions, please refer to the registered product label or consult local agronomic specialists.
Application Instructions
1. Early Preventive Rice Blast Position
Apply as an early-season preventive treatment before visible blast lesions develop. Early application blocks fungal appressorium melanization and halts host tissue penetration.
2. Weather & Pressure-Based Reapplication
Fine-tune reapplication schedules according to rainfall frequency and regional disease forecasting alerts for bacterial leaf blight, ensuring continuous protection throughout critical vegetative and reproductive stages.
Safety & Environmental Care
Always wear proper personal protective equipment (gloves, goggles, mask, protective suit) during handling, mixing, and application. Avoid chemical runoff or spray drift into paddy drainage outlets, streams, and ponds. Store in original sealed container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated location away from foodstuffs, drink, and animal feed.
