Formulation: SL (Soluble Concentrate)
Systemic Seed & Root Protection
Preventive Early Establishment
Product Information
Mode of Action
Hymexazol disrupts nucleic acid (DNA/RNA) synthesis in targeted soil-borne pathogens and is absorbed by germinating seeds and roots, protecting developing seedlings from infection (FRAC Group 32 – Isoxazoles). Metalaxyl-M inhibits RNA polymerase I, preventing nucleic acid synthesis in oomycete pathogens and suppressing fungal growth (FRAC Group 4 – Phenylamides).
Target Diseases
- Damping-off
- Pythium root rot
- Phytophthora diseases
- Seedling blight
Recommended Application Guidance
| Crop / Site | Target Disease | Application Guidance |
|---|---|---|
| Vegetables | Damping-off | Treat seed or growing medium ahead of germination; this is a preventive-only intervention. |
| Ornamentals | Root rot | Apply during the transplant shock window, when roots are most vulnerable to infection. |
| Nursery crops | Pythium | Get product into the root zone before symptoms appear; curative activity is limited. |
For specific ml/L or L/ha dosage rates and soil drench/seed soak instructions across registered crops, please refer to the registered product label or consult local agronomic specialists.
Application Instructions
1. Preventive Pre-Germination & Drench Timing
Apply as a seed treatment or soil drench ahead of germination in vegetable seedbeds. Ensure early root zone placement prior to symptom onset, as curative activity against established pathogens like Pythium is limited.
2. Transplant Shock Window Protection
In ornamental and nursery crop transplanting, apply during the transplanting phase to protect root systems when vulnerable to stress and soil-borne fungal entry.
Safety & Environmental Care
Always wear proper personal protective equipment (gloves, goggles, mask, protective clothing) during mixing, seed treatment, and drenching. Toxic to aquatic life with long-lasting effects; prevent chemical runoff or leaching into nearby waterways, ponds, and drainage ditches. Store in original sealed containers in a cool, dry, well-ventilated location away from food, drink, and animal feed.
