Contact Fungicide
FOLPET 50% WP
A broad-spectrum protective fungicide in a wettable powder formulation. It provides excellent preventive control of foliar and fruit diseases like Downy Mildew and Scab, making it a versatile tool for integrated disease management programs.
Target Disease
Mildews, Scab, Botrytis
Mode of Action
Multi-site Contact
Crops
Grapes, Apple, Veg
Active: Folpet
Formulation: WP (Wettable Powder)
Action: Protective Contact
Product Information
Mode of Action
Folpet functions as a multi-site contact protectant fungicide. It releases active phthalimide compounds that disrupt thiol-containing enzymes and critical cellular processes. This prevents fungal spore germination and early infection stages. Due to its non-specific multi-site activity, resistance development is extremely unlikely.
Target Diseases
- Downy mildew
- Powdery mildew
- Scab diseases (e.g., Apple Scab)
- Botrytis cinerea (Grey Mold)
Key Benefits
Ideal resistance management partner (FRAC Group M4). Broad compatibility with other fungicides in IDM programs.

Dosage Note: Specific dosage rates (g/ha or g/L) were not provided. As a preventive protectant, correct dosage and water volume are critical for coverage. Please consult the product label for specific rates.
Application Instructions
1. Timing
Apply as a protective spray before disease onset or at the very early stages of infection risk. Repeat applications every 7-14 days depending on disease pressure and weather conditions.
2. Coverage
Since Folpet is a contact fungicide, thorough coverage of the foliage and fruit is essential. Ensure spray equipment is calibrated to deliver adequate water volume for the crop canopy size.
Safety Precautions
Handling: This is a wettable powder (WP). Avoid inhaling dust during mixing. Wear a mask, gloves, and long-sleeved clothing.
Resistance Management: Classified as Group M4 (Multi-site). Use as a tank-mix partner or in rotation with single-site fungicides (like triazoles or strobilurins) to delay resistance.
