Product Information

Mode of Action

Fluxametamide blocks both GABA-gated chloride channels and glutamate-gated chloride channels in the insect nervous system. This dual disruption inhibits nerve transmission, causing rapid paralysis and death of the pest. It shows minimal cross-resistance with other chemical classes.

Target Pests
  • Fruit & Shoot Borers (Leucinodes orbonalis, Helicoverpa armigera)
  • Diamond Back Moth (Plutella xylostella)
  • Thrips & Leaf Hoppers
  • Tobacco Caterpillar & Spotted Pod Borer
Key Benefits

Broad-spectrum efficacy simplifies pest management by controlling both sucking pests and caterpillars with a single product.

Recommended Dosage

Crop Target Pest Dosage (g/Ha) Water (L/Ha) PHI (Days)
Brinjal Leaf hopper, Thrips, Fruit & Shoot Borer 400 500 5
Cabbage DBM, Tobacco caterpillar, Semi looper 400 500 5
Chilli Thrips, Fruit Borer, Tobacco caterpillar 400 500 5
Okra Leaf hopper, Thrips, Fruit borer 400 500 5
Red Gram Spotted Pod Borer, Pod Borer 400 500 5
Tomato Thrips, Fruit borer 400 500 5
Uniform Application: The recommended dosage is consistent across all registered crops at 400g per hectare with a short 5-day waiting period.

Application Instructions

1. Timing
Apply at the early stages of infestation. For borers, applying before larvae bore deep into the fruit or shoot is crucial for maximum efficacy.
2. Translaminar Activity
The product moves through the leaf tissue (translaminar), reaching pests hidden on the underside of leaves, such as thrips and aphids. Ensure good coverage of the canopy.

Safety Precautions

Harvest Interval: A short waiting period of 5 days makes it suitable for vegetables that are harvested frequently.

Resistance Management: Fluxametamide belongs to Group 30 (GABA-gated chloride channel allosteric modulators). Rotate with insecticides from different groups to prevent resistance.
