Mode of Action
HRAC Group 2 / Acetolactate Synthase (ALS) Enzyme Inhibition
Use Sites / Crops
Wheat, Barley
Active: Flucarbazone-Na + Mesosulfuron-methyl Formulation: OD (Oil Dispersion) Selective Post-Emergence Systemic HRAC Group 2 Dual Action

Product Information

Mode of Action

Flucarbazone-Na and Mesosulfuron-methyl (HRAC Group 2) inhibit the acetolactate synthase (ALS) enzyme, blocking the biosynthesis of essential branched-chain amino acids required for plant growth. Susceptible weeds cease growth shortly after application, experience systemic necrosis, and die gradually over the following weeks.

Target Weeds
  • Phalaris minor (Canarygrass)
  • Avena fatua (Wild oat)
  • Lolium spp. (Ryegrass)
  • Alopecurus myosuroides (Blackgrass)
  • Chenopodium album
  • Galium aparine
  • Stellaria media
  • Annual grasses and selected broadleaf weeds

Recommended Application Guidance

Crop Target Weeds Dosage & Method of Application
Wheat & Barley Annual grasses and selected broadleaf weeds Apply as a post-emergence spray on actively growing weeds at the recommended label dosage. Ensure uniform spray coverage and apply when weeds are at the early growth stage for optimum control.
For specific ml/ha dosage rates and local water volume recommendations in wheat and barley crops, please refer to the registered product label or consult local agricultural extension specialists.

Application Instructions

1. Post-Emergence Early Stage Timing
Apply as a post-emergence foliar spray when target annual grasses and broadleaf weeds are actively growing in their early development stage to ensure optimal systemic absorption and control.
2. Uniform Spray Distribution
Ensure complete and uniform spray coverage across the crop canopy using calibrated equipment. Thorough foliar wetting allows rapid absorption of the oil dispersion formulation.

Safety & Environmental Care

Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (gloves, goggles, face mask, protective suit) during handling, mixing, and application. Avoid spray drift onto non-target crops and nearby water bodies. Store in original sealed container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated location away from food, drink, and animal feed.
