Multi-Site Protective + Systemic Control
Targeted Oomycete Defense
Product Information
Mode of Action
Fluazinam disrupts mitochondrial energy production by uncoupling oxidative phosphorylation, providing broad-spectrum protective activity against fungal pathogens (FRAC Group 29). Metalaxyl-M inhibits RNA polymerase I, preventing nucleic acid synthesis in oomycete pathogens and suppressing fungal growth (FRAC Group 4 – Phenylamides).
Target Diseases
- Late blight
- Downy mildew
- Damping-off
- Phytophthora diseases
Recommended Application Guidance
| Crop | Target Disease | Application Guidance |
|---|---|---|
| Potato | Late blight | Establish protection before row closure, when blight spreads fastest through dense canopy. |
| Tomato | Late blight | Shorten intervals in cool, wet conditions — the pathogen’s preferred environment. |
| Vegetables | Downy mildew | Get spray coverage onto the underside of leaves, where sporulation actually occurs. |
For specific ml/ha dosage rates and local dilution guidelines across registered crops, please refer to the registered product label or consult local agronomic specialists.
Application Instructions
1. Pre-Canopy Establishment & Weather Adjustments
Establish protective chemical coverage before row closure in crops like potatoes to secure inner foliage before dense canopy development. In tomato fields, shorten spray intervals during cool, wet weather conditions that favor rapid Late Blight spread.
2. Underside Canopy Spraying
Ensure application equipment is adjusted to direct spray droplet coverage to the undersides of vegetable foliage, where active sporulation of downy mildew pathogens occurs.
Safety & Environmental Care
Always wear proper personal protective equipment (gloves, goggles, mask, protective clothing) during handling, mixing, and application. Toxic to aquatic organisms; avoid chemical drift or runoff into nearby waterways, ponds, and drainage ditches. Store in original sealed container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from foodstuffs.
