Product Information

Mode of Action

Cyflumetofen inhibits mitochondrial Complex II (succinate dehydrogenase) in mites. This blocks electron transport, significantly reducing ATP production. The depletion of energy prevents normal movement and feeding, leading to rapid knockdown and prolonged residual control.

Target Pests
  • Primary Target: Red Spider Mite (Oligonychus coffeae), Two-spotted Spider Mite.
  • Control Spectrum: Effective against all motile stages (larvae, nymphs, and adults) of Tetranychid mites.
  • Note: While effective on mites, some sources list secondary effects on pests like aphids/planthoppers, but its primary strength is as a specific miticide.

Recommended Dosage

CropPestDosage (ml/ha)Water (L/ha)PHI (Days)
Tea Red Spider Mite 625 – 750 400 – 500 5
Chili, Tomato, Citrus Mites Refer to product label for specific crop rates.

Application Instructions

1. Mixing
This product is a Suspension Concentrate (SC). Shake well before use. Mix the required quantity in water to form a uniform suspension.
2. Timing & Coverage
Apply at the first sign of mite infestation. Since mites often inhabit the undersides of leaves, thorough coverage of both upper and lower leaf surfaces is crucial for effective control.

Safety Precautions

Warning: Wear personal protective equipment. Cyflumetofen is highly selective and generally safe for beneficial insects and predatory mites, making it suitable for IPM programs. However, it is toxic to aquatic organisms.
