Combination Insecticide
CYANTRANILIPROLE 10% + PYMETROZINE 50% WG
Powerful dual-action insecticide controlling both chewing (Lepidoptera) and sap-feeding (Hopper/Aphid) pests. Effectively manages mixed pest populations with rapid feeding cessation and lasting residual action.
Target Pests
Borers & Hoppers
Mode of Action
Muscle + Feeding Blocker
Crops
Rice, Veg, Fruits
Active: Cyantraniliprole + Pymetrozine
Formulation: 60% WG (Water Dispersible Granules)
Action: Systemic & Antifeedant
Product Information
Mode of Action
Cyantraniliprole: Disrupts insect muscle function by modulating ryanodine receptors, leading to calcium imbalance, paralysis, and immediate feeding stoppage.
Pymetrozine: Targets the nervous system by interfering with the chordotonal organs (mechanoreceptors) of sap-feeding insects, preventing normal feeding behavior and causing death by starvation.
Target Pests
- Chewing: Stem Borer, Leaf Folder, Cotton Bollworm, Beet Armyworm, Diamondback Moth, Prodenia litura.
- Sucking: Brown Plant Hopper (BPH), Aphids, Whiteflies.
Recommended Dosage
| Crop | Pest | Dosage (g/ha) | Water (L/ha) | PHI (Days) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rice (Paddy) | Stem Borer, Leaf Folder, Brown Plant Hopper | 300 | 500 | 43 |
| Cotton, Veg, Fruits | Mixed populations (Bollworms + Sucking pests) | Refer to product label for specific crop rates. | ||
Dosage Note: Dosage refers to grams of formulation per hectare. For Rice, the PHI is 43 days; plan applications accordingly.
Application Instructions
1. Mixing
This product is a Water Dispersible Granule (WG). Premix the required quantity in a clean bucket of water to form a uniform suspension before adding to the spray tank. Agitate continuously.
2. Timing
Ideal for simultaneous control of caterpillars and hoppers/aphids. Apply when pests reach the Economic Threshold Level (ETL). The rapid “stop-feeding” action minimizes crop damage immediately after spraying.
Safety Precautions
Warning: Wear personal protective equipment. While Pymetrozine is highly selective to sap feeders and generally safe for beneficials, Cyantraniliprole is broad-spectrum; apply carefully to minimize impact on non-target arthropods. Toxic to aquatic life.
