Insecticide / Acaricide
CHLORFENAPYR 24% SC
High-strength formulation for robust control of mites and lepidopteran larvae. Featuring a unique metabolic mode of action, it controls pest populations resistant to conventional insecticides with strong penetration and long residual effectiveness.
Target Pests
Mites, Borers, Thrips
Mode of Action
Energy Blocker (Metabolic)
Crops
Pulses, Veg, Cotton
Active: Chlorfenapyr
Formulation: 24% SC (Suspension Concentrate)
Action: Stomach & Contact
Product Information
Mode of Action
Chlorfenapyr acts as a pro-insecticide; it is bioactivated within the insect to a metabolite that uncouples mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation. This collapses the proton gradient across the mitochondrial membrane, preventing ATP formation (energy production), leading to cell death and pest mortality.
Target Pests
- Pod Borer (Helicoverpa armigera, Maruca)
- Fruit & Shoot Borer
- Mites (Red Spider Mite, etc.)
- Thrips & Spodoptera litura
- Green Semilooper
Recommended Dosage
| Crop | Target Pest | Dosage (ml/ha) | Water (L/ha) | PHI (Days) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Red Gram | Helicoverpa armigera, Maruca vitrata | 800 – 1000 | 500 | 41 |
| Cotton | Spodoptera litura, Thrips | 312.5 – 425 | 500 | 48 |
| Chickpea | Pod Borer (Helicoverpa armigera) | 800 – 1000 | 500 | 49 |

| Soybean | Spodoptera litura, Green Semilooper | 312.5 – 425 | 500 | 21 |
Dosage is in milliliters (ml) per hectare. PHI = Pre-Harvest Interval (Waiting period in days).
Application Instructions
1. Mixing
This product is a Suspension Concentrate (SC). Shake the container well before use. Mix the required quantity in a small amount of water to ensure dispersion, then add to the spray tank with agitation.
2. Timing
Apply at the first sign of pest incidence. For borers, apply during egg hatching or early larval stages. For mites, ensure thorough coverage of the underside of leaves.
Safety Precautions
Warning: Toxic to aquatic organisms and birds. Do not use near water bodies. Chlorfenapyr is a potent metabolic inhibitor; always wear full protective gear (gloves, mask, protective suit) to avoid skin contact and inhalation.
