Combination Insecticide
CHLORFENAPYR 20% + LUFENURON 5% SC
Powerful blend of metabolic toxin and chitin inhibitor for multi-stage control of resistant Lepidopteran pests. Especially effective on hard-to-kill larvae due to complementary action on metabolic and developmental pathways.
Target Pests
Bollworms, Armyworms
Mode of Action
Energy Blocker + IGR
Crops
Cotton, Maize, Veg
Active: Chlorfenapyr + Lufenuron
Formulation: SC (Suspension Concentrate)
Action: Systemic & Contact
Product Information
Mode of Action
Chlorfenapyr: Uncouples mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation upon activation. This blocks ATP formation, leading to energy failure and death of the insect.
Lufenuron: An Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) that inhibits chitin synthase. This prevents exoskeleton formation and proper molting, killing larvae when they attempt to shed their old cuticle.
Target Pests
- Bollworms (Helicoverpa, Pectinophora)
- Fruit Borers
- Armyworms (Spodoptera spp.)
- Resistant Larvae
Recommended Crops
| Crop | Target Pests | Application Timing |
|---|---|---|
| Cotton | Bollworms, Armyworms | Apply when larvae are in early instars (1st to 3rd). |
| Vegetables | Fruit Borers, Leaf eaters | Apply at first sign of infestation. |
| Maize | Fall Armyworm, Cob Borer | Apply into the whorl for armyworm control. |
Dosage Note: Specific dosage rates (ml/ha) are not provided in the general text. Please refer to the specific product label or local leaflet for precise application rates based on pest pressure and crop stage.
Application Instructions
1. Mixing
This product is a Suspension Concentrate (SC). Shake well before use. Mix the required quantity in a small amount of water to create a slurry, then add to the main tank with agitation.
2. Timing
Effective against all larval stages, but best results are achieved when applied during egg hatching or early larval instars due to the IGR action of Lufenuron. Chlorfenapyr provides the knockdown for active larvae.
Safety Precautions
Warning: Wear personal protective equipment. Toxic to aquatic organisms. Chlorfenapyr acts via metabolic activation, so ensure thorough coverage. Lufenuron is safer for adult beneficials but affects immature stages; use carefully in IPM.
