Selective Herbicide
BUTACHLOR 3% + CYHALOFOP-BUTYL 31.5% EC
Combination herbicide providing post-emergence control of annual grasses and broad-leaved weeds. Designed specifically for transplanted and direct-seeded rice fields, targeting major resistant weeds.
Target Weeds
Annual Grass & Broad-leaf
Mode of Action
Cell Division + ACCase Inhibitor
Crops
Rice (Paddy)
Active: Butachlor + Cyhalofop
Formulation: EC (Emulsifiable Concentrate)
Action: Post-Emergence
Product Information
Mode of Action
Butachlor: Absorbed through germinating shoots; inhibits cell division and elongation in emerging weeds.
Cyhalofop-butyl: Inhibits the ACCase enzyme, blocking fatty acid synthesis in grassy weeds.
This combination is absorbed and translocated in plant tissues, accumulating in vegetative parts for effective control.
Target Weeds
- Echinochloa spp. (Barnyard grass)
- Leptochloa chinensis
- Digitaria spp.
- Panicum spp.
- Cyperus spp. (Sedges)
Recommended Dosage
| Crop | Target Weed Type | Dosage (ml/ha) |
|---|---|---|
| Rice (Transplanted) | Annual grasses & Broad-leaved weeds | 1200 – 1500 |
| Rice (Direct Seeded) | Annual grasses & Broad-leaved weeds | 1200 – 1500 |
Recommended dosage is 1200 to 1500 ml per hectare. Ensure proper water volume for coverage.
Application Instructions
1. Mixing
Shake well before use. Mix the required dosage in a small amount of water to form a uniform emulsion, then add to the full volume of water in the spray tank. Agitate continuously.
2. Timing of Application
Apply as a post-emergence spray. For transplanted rice, ensure water is drained before application and re-irrigated after 24-48 hours. Best results are achieved when weeds are small (2-4 leaf stage).
Safety Precautions
Warning: Use personal protective equipment (gloves, mask, boots) during handling and spraying. Avoid inhalation of spray mist. Do not contaminate water bodies, as herbicides can be toxic to aquatic life.
