Product Information

Mode of Action

Bromadiolone functions as a potent anticoagulant. It inhibits the enzyme vitamin K epoxide reductase, which effectively stops the recycling of vitamin K in the rodent’s body. Without vitamin K, the production of vital blood clotting factors is blocked. The rodent eventually dies from internal hemorrhaging. The cake formulation is compressed with wax/paraffin, allowing it to resist moisture and mold growth, ensuring palatability even in damp conditions.

Target Pests
  • Norway Rat (Rattus norvegicus)
  • Roof Rat (Rattus rattus)
  • Bandicoot Rat (Bandicota bengalensis)
  • Field Rats (various species)
Key Benefits

Superior durability in wet, humid, or outdoor environments. Resistant to mold, ensuring the bait stays attractive longer. Ideal for hard-to-reach areas like sewers and burrows.

Application Areas

Outdoor & Damp Locations
  • Sewers and Drains (suspended via wire)
  • Outdoor building perimeters
  • Agricultural fields and irrigation channels
  • Waste disposal areas and dumpsters
  • Damp basements or cellars
Why Cake Bait?

Loose grain baits rot quickly in dampness. Cake baits are compressed with edible wax, protecting the grain inside from moisture while remaining palatable to rodents.

Directions for Use

1. Sewer Application
Secure the cake bait blocks to a wire or non-corrosive chain. Lower the bait into the manhole or drain, ensuring it is suspended just above the high-water line to allow access by swimming rats but prevent washing away.
2. Burrow Treatment
Place cakes deep inside active burrows. Cover the opening loosely with soil or a stone to reduce fear and protect the bait from non-target animals.
3. Perimeter Baiting
Use tamper-resistant bait stations for all outdoor surface applications. Secure stations to the ground. Inspect weekly and replace spoiled or eaten blocks.

Safety & Storage

DANGER: Toxic to mammals, birds, and fish. Prevent access by children and pets.

Antidote: Vitamin K1. Seek medical attention immediately if ingested.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Although weather-resistant, extreme heat can melt the wax matrix. Keep away from chemicals that may contaminate the bait with repellent odors.
