Product Information
Mode of Action
Anilofos (HRAC Group 15) inhibits lipid biosynthesis in susceptible weeds, preventing cell division and early seedling development. It is absorbed primarily through the shoots and roots of germinating weeds, delivering effective pre-emergence control in paddy fields.
Target Weeds
- Echinochloa crus-galli
- Echinochloa colona
- Cyperus difformis
- Fimbristylis miliacea
- Monochoria vaginalis
- Ludwigia spp.
- Annual grasses, sedges, and selected broadleaf weeds
Recommended Application Guidance
| Crop | Target Weeds | Dosage & Method of Application |
|---|---|---|
| Transplanted Rice | Annual grasses, sedges & selected broadleaf weeds | Apply uniformly as a granular pre-emergence treatment at 3–7 days after transplanting on standing water or moist soil, as per the recommended label dosage. Maintain a shallow water level for several days after application for optimum weed control. |
For specific kg/ha granular dosage rates and local water management protocols across paddy fields, please refer to the registered product label or consult local agricultural extension specialists.
Application Instructions
1. Broadcast Timing (3–7 Days Post-Transplanting)
Apply uniformly as a pre-emergence granular treatment between 3 and 7 days after transplanting rice when weed seeds are germinating.
2. Water Management for Optimal Activation
Broadcast over standing water or moist soil. Maintain a shallow standing water layer (3–5 cm) for several days post-application to ensure proper distribution and activation of the herbicide barrier.
Safety & Environmental Care
Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (gloves, goggles, mask, protective suit) during handling, measuring, and broadcasting. Toxic to aquatic life; prevent runoff or chemical drainage into surrounding ponds, streams, or waterways. Store in original sealed container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated location away from food, drink, and animal feed.
