Livestock & Soil
Active: Albendazole Formulation: SC (Suspension Concentrate) Action: Systemic & Ovicidal

Product Information

Mode of Action

Albendazole binds to tubulin proteins, preventing polymerization and disrupting microtubule formation in parasite cells. This blockage inhibits glucose uptake and depletes energy reserves, causing parasite death. It demonstrates both ovicidal (egg-killing) and larvicidal activity.

Target Pests
  • Gastrointestinal roundworms (Haemonchus, Ostertagia)
  • Lungworms (Dictyocaulus spp.)
  • Tapeworms (Moniezia spp.)
  • Root-knot nematodes (Meloidogyne spp.)
  • Lesion nematodes (Pratylenchus spp.)
Dual Application

Unique formulation suitable for both veterinary use (oral drench) and agricultural use (soil treatment/drench against root nematodes).

Recommended Dosage

Application Target Pest Dosage Formulation Qty
Livestock (Oral) Roundworms, Tapeworms 7.5 mg / kg Body Weight As per veterinary advice
Soil Treatment Plant-parasitic nematodes 5 – 10 L / Ha 5000 – 10000 ml
Drench Application Root-knot nematodes 3 – 5 L / Ha 3000 – 5000 ml
Important: Dosage units differ significantly between livestock (mg/kg) and soil application (Liters/Ha). Ensure correct calculation before use.

Application Instructions

1. Agricultural Use (Soil)
Apply as a soil drench or through drip irrigation systems (chemigation) to target the root zone where nematodes reside. Ensure sufficient water volume to carry the active ingredient into the soil profile.
2. Veterinary Use (Livestock)
Administer orally using a calibrated drenching gun. Shake the suspension well before use to ensure a uniform dose. Weigh animals to determine the correct dosage.

Safety Precautions

Withdrawal Period: For livestock, strictly adhere to milk and meat withdrawal periods as specified by local veterinary regulations to ensure food safety.

Handling: Wear protective gloves when handling the concentrate. Do not contaminate water bodies, as benzimidazoles can be toxic to aquatic life.
