Maize, Soybean, Wheat, Barley & Sunflower
Active: Pyroxasulfone Formulation: OD (Oil Dispersion) Selective Pre-Emergence HRAC Group 15 Action

Product Information

Mode of Action

Pyroxasulfone (HRAC Group 15) inhibits the biosynthesis of very long-chain fatty acids (VLCFAs), preventing root and shoot development during weed germination and emergence. This provides long-lasting residual control of germinating weed seeds.

Target Weeds
  • Echinochloa spp.
  • Setaria spp.
  • Digitaria spp.
  • Eleusine indica
  • Amaranthus spp.
  • Chenopodium album
  • Annual grasses and selected broadleaf weeds

Recommended Application Guidance

Crop Target Weeds Dosage & Method of Application
Maize, Soybean, Wheat, Barley & Sunflower Annual grasses & selected broadleaf weeds Apply as a pre-emergence spray immediately after sowing and before weed emergence, as per the recommended label dosage. Ensure adequate soil moisture for optimum herbicide activation and residual weed control.
For specific ml/ha dosage rates and local spray volume recommendations across registered crops, please refer to the registered product label or consult local agricultural extension specialists.

Application Instructions

1. Pre-Emergence Timing Immediately After Sowing
Apply as a pre-emergence soil treatment immediately after crop sowing and prior to weed seedling emergence. Early application maximizes soil residual efficacy against germinating weeds.
2. Soil Moisture & Activation Requirements
Ensure application is conducted on moist soil or followed by light rainfall/irrigation to incorporate the herbicide into the topsoil layer, activating the VLCFA inhibition mechanism in germinating weed seeds.

Safety & Environmental Care

Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (gloves, goggles, face mask, protective suit) during handling, mixing, and application. Avoid spray drift onto non-target crops and nearby water bodies. Store in original sealed container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated location away from food, drink, and animal feed.
