Crops
Maize, Millet, Veg
Active: Metiram + Dimethomorph Formulation: WG (Water Dispersible Granule) Action: Systemic & Contact

Product Information

Mode of Action

Metiram functions as a broad-spectrum multi-site inhibitor, disrupting multiple metabolic pathways and enzyme systems in fungal cells. [Image of multi-site fungicide mode of action] Dimethomorph specifically inhibits cellulose synthase, disrupting the formation of the oomycete cell wall. [Image of oomycete cell wall formation inhibition] This combination ensures comprehensive disease prevention with both surface and systemic protection.

Target Diseases
  • Downy mildew (Sorghum, Sugarcane, Philippine, Brown stripe types)
  • Late blight (Phytophthora infestans)
  • Early blight (Alternaria species)
Key Benefits

Superior rainfastness ensures protection even in wet conditions conducive to Downy Mildew. Acts on all stages of the fungal life cycle.

Recommended Dosage

Crop Disease Dosage per 100 Kg Seed Water for Slurry (L) PHI
Maize Downy mildew (various) 700 g 0.75 – 1.0 3.5 – 4 months
Bajra (Pearl Millet) Downy mildew 600 g 0.75 – 1.0 3 – 3.5 months
Important Note: The dosage provided above indicates a Seed Treatment application (g/100kg seed). However, this product is also commonly used as a Foliar Spray for Vegetables (Tomato, Potato). Please consult the product label for specific foliar spray rates if required.

Application Instructions

1. Seed Treatment
Prepare a slurry by mixing the required amount of fungicide with water (approx 1L per 100kg seed). Coat seeds uniformly and allow them to dry in the shade before sowing.
2. Foliar Application (General)
If used as a spray for vegetables: Apply preventively or at the first sign of disease. Ensure thorough coverage of the foliage. The systemic action of Dimethomorph protects new growth.

Safety Precautions

Resistance Management: Dimethomorph affects cell wall biosynthesis (Group 40). To prevent resistance, always use in combination with multi-site partners like Metiram (Group M3), as provided in this formulation.

Handling: Wear standard protective clothing during mixing and application.
