Active: Hexaconazole Formulation: SC (Suspension Concentrate) Action: Systemic & Curative

Product Information

Mode of Action

Hexaconazole inhibits ergosterol biosynthesis by blocking the C14-demethylase enzyme in the sterol biosynthetic pathway. [Image of fungal cell membrane disruption mode of action] This disruption of the fungal cell membrane halts growth and kills the pathogen. It exhibits strong systemic, translaminar, and vapor-phase activity.

Target Diseases
  • Powdery mildew
  • Rust diseases
  • Sheath blight
  • Leaf spot diseases
  • Anthracnose
Key Benefits

Provides a “greening effect” on crops in addition to disease control. Effective at low dosages with excellent crop safety.

Recommended Dosage

Crop Disease Dosage / Concentration Water (L/Ha) PHI (Days)
Mango Powdery Mildew 0.2% (200ml / 100L water) As required 27
Rice (Paddy) Sheath Blight 1000 ml / ha (approx. 2ml/L) 500 40
Grapes Powdery Mildew 500 – 1000 ml / ha 500 14
Dosage Note: For Rice, the input mentioned “0.2% or 200ml/100L” similar to Mango, but standard practice often uses a per-hectare rate. Always follow the specific local label instructions.

Application Instructions

1. Timing
Apply preventively or at the very first appearance of disease symptoms. For Powdery Mildew on Mango and Grapes, thorough coverage of the foliage and inflorescence is critical.
2. Resistance Management
Hexaconazole is a DMI fungicide (Group 3). To prevent resistance, rotate with fungicides having different modes of action (e.g., Strobilurins or Contact fungicides).

Safety Precautions

Harvest Interval: Strict adherence to PHI is necessary: 27 days for Mango, 40 days for Rice, and 14 days for Grapes.

Handling: Wear standard protective clothing. Do not apply near water bodies as it can be toxic to aquatic life.
