CYPERMETHRIN 1% DP

A synthetic pyrethroid insecticide in a ready-to-use dust formulation for the control of crawling insects. It provides rapid contact action with good residual activity, specifically designed for treating harbourages, cracks, crevices, and difficult-to-reach areas.

Product Information

Mode of Action

Cypermethrin acts as a contact and stomach poison. It interferes with the sodium channels in the insect’s nerve cell membranes, causing repetitive nerve discharges. This leads to hyperexcitation, paralysis, and rapid death. The fine dust formulation allows the active ingredient to penetrate deep into cracks, crevices, and voids where insects hide.

Application Method

Apply using a hand duster or puff duster. Inject dust directly into cracks, crevices, wall voids, behind skirting boards, under sinks, around pipe collars, and behind refrigerators/stoves where pests harbour.

Directions for Use

1. Application Technique
Apply as a light, uniform film of dust. Avoid applying heavy mounds of dust, as pests may avoid them. The goal is for the insect to walk through the dust and pick it up on their body.
2. Bed Bug Treatment
Apply dust to bed frames, mattress seams, box springs, and behind headboards. Do not apply to surfaces that will come into direct contact with skin or bedding used by humans.
3. Restrictions
Do not apply on food preparation surfaces or exposed food. Do not apply in areas accessible to children or pets.

Safety & Storage

Precautions: Avoid inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable dust mask and gloves during application. Wash hands thoroughly after use. Highly toxic to fish and aquatic life.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place in the original tightly closed container, away from children, food, and animal feed.
